How to Setup AOL email for outlook Account 

Step 1: In your windows PC search for MS Outlook and open it.

Step 2: Now open ‘file’ and click ‘next’, then select ‘add account’.

Step 4: Now choose the ‘POP or IMAP’ option to open the dialog box.

  • Outgoing mail server: smtp.aol.com

Step 6: Enter your login information to finish the form.

Step 7: Now go to ‘more settings’ and select the ‘outgoing server’ tab.

Step 8: Click or check the box that says ‘my outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ and then choose the option ‘use same setting as my incoming server’.

Step 9: In the same window, select ‘advanced’ and enter the following details

  • Incoming server: 993 or 143
  • Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
  • Outgoing server: 587
  • Outgoing server encrypted connection: TLS

Step 10: Now to finish the process click on ‘ok’.

How to Setup AOL email for Verizon Account 

Step 1: You can start off by choosing either ‘POP3’ or ‘IMAP’

Step 2: Enter the following details;

For POP3:

  • Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net
  • Outgoing mail server(SMTP): smtp.verizon.net

For IMAP:

  • Incoming mail server(POP3): imap.aol.com
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net

Step 3: Enter your login information to complete the form.

Step 4: Now, for the port setting, go to the ‘advanced’ tab and enter the following details:

For POP3:

  • Incoming server: 993
  • Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
  • Outgoing server: 465
  • Outgoing server encrypted connection: SSL

For IMAP:

  • Incoming server: 993
  • Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL
  • Outgoing server: 465
  • Outgoing server encrypted connection: SSL

Step 5: Once you have made the necessary updates click on ‘ok’ to transfer all the email from Verizon to AOL.

Step 6: Verify it by signing in to your AOL account.
